There has been a lot going on lately. One being that I met with my dietitian and the instructions I'm following are working better than I expected. This helps to keep me motivated to reach my goal. Physical Therapy is also helping with my hip and I hope to soon be back to Zumbaing (I know it's not a word, but I made it up anyway).
I had to cancel my original scheduled appt. due to a work conflict. When I tried to reschedule they told me it would be the beginning of march before they could get me in, which let me tell you was not what I wanted to hear. So I asked them to put me on their waiting list while I made an appointment with a new practice. However, on monday I received a call that there was an opening today. I had to wait an hour to see the dr. for 10 mins. I forgot how long the wait can be with certain dr.'s. I guess I've been spoiled by short waits. Anyway, I also met with the nurse who explained the procedure and days of BBT, C.l.om.i.d, es.tra.dil, and prom.etrium. Additionally, the doc discussed with me the results of my labs from october which show that my fsh levels are good but the other levels, lh i think, are not good which is why she prescribed the meds. I'm a little overwhelmed by the process. The thought of counting the correct dates, taking temps again, and building hope the the meds will work seems like a lot. At the same time I know what the desired outcome is. I have to keep that in mind. Did anyone else feel this way about the beginning? Did it even work for any of you the first time around? I'm nervous about getting my hopes up too much.

I'm so glad you've got in!
For me, starting with the RE was a bright light of hope, and even though some of it might be overwhelming, I knew I wasn't getting anywhere I my own. I'm still working on it obviously, but very happy to have the help.
I would recommend learning as much as you can about how your clinic "functions"... how many docs, nurses, who will you deal with, do you need to always schedule baseline u/s? Are there certain days of the week or times that they don't schedule certain things (My RE doesn't do clinic on fridays and my u/s tech doesn't do u/s' after 1:30 most days). I have also learned my RE does most of the u/s' himself on Saturdays (good to know), and the clinic says it stays open all day on fridays, but really it normally closes at 2. Knowing this kind of info upfront will prevent frustration later on. My clinic is pretty quite, so one day while I was alone in the waiting room I just started asking the receptionist questions about the clinic. I learned a lot that day.
Good luck, I hope you're an easy case to treat!
